You've heard it here. You've heard it there. You've heard it everywhere. GRATITUDE Yes, that old reminder to be thankful is so important to your energy balance and connection. Practice gratitude as a daily mantra... as you go about your morning, remember to be thankful for all of the little things in life. "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances" -1 Thessalonians 5:16 For me, I like to practice gratitude as I wait for my teapot to boil in the morning. I look around me and start to be thankful for the little things in my kitchen. This gets my brain focused on looking for things to be grateful for. Then, I am thankful for each member of my family, my friends, my food, the things that make me laugh, etc. Gratitude is an exercise. It's like doing sit-ups. DO it. Just do it. I have much to be grateful for. This is a recent sunrise and I was lucky enough to be at the beach to capture a time-lapse.

Goal setting... thinking about adding retreats... thoughts, anyone? my own goals... gulp

I can't believe how the years have flown by since I started Energy Attracts.  Because of the fun and success of my vision board and goal setting seminars, and I am believer in the power of setting my own goals and vibrations in order to teach it...  I have decided to set my own intention and build upon my business in creating small retreats for just a few select people to work on spiritually based goal setting.  What I want: To travel to new and beautiful places with like-minded people who are seeking positive direction and guidance in setting goals and intentions. These travel itineraries will be pre-planned and include local eateries, yoga studios, and public outdoor gorgeous spaces like beaches, canyons, parks, cliffs, etc.  The curriculum will include vibration/spirituality based goal setting workshops complete with thought provoking homework designed to clear the path to success. Dr. Emoto's work on the power of vibration and thought on water molecules

This might be one of my favorite things.... the times when science meets religion.  Dr. Masaru Emoto (google it... it is awesome) conducted many studies where different words were prayed into jars of water over a period of time. He then looked at the water molecules and discovered differences in shape and composition depending on the thought.  The results are amazing to me because the symmetrical and eye-pleasing molecules are lovely and artistic to look at while the negative and angry emotional words evoke chaotic molecules that seem malformed and disjointed (see image I found on the internet) "According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 30%” ( water.USGS.Gov , 2018)                                                                                                          

Power of thought in healing

The first step in healing from any diagnosis is to stop giving it energy. For example, if your diagnosis is cancer or diabetes.... stop thinking about the disease. Start thinking about the healing. Vibration and thought are powerful things. Thinking about the diagnosis offers energy to the very thing you don't want. Picture in your mind the great power of your healing body washing over the cells that aren't working. Do this many times per day and every time a negative or fearful thought creeps into your head. DO NOT DISCUSS THE DISEASE WITH OTHERS Everyday, practice the art of meditation and visualization and imagine yourself perfectly healed. Give thanks. Believe the healing has begun. I encourage mindful thinking as part of a whole body healing program. This also includes movement, healthy and Whole Foods, and laughter.

Words for my dad this morning

This morning, as my Dad is settling into his diagnosis, I am trying hard not to control the situation and interfere with his plans for healing. I do, however, know that I have some of the keys to health and that is positive vibrations and active attitude and prayer.  Today, I texted him: Take ten minutes in one of your favorite places. Meditate on health. Do not mention the word cancer. This focuses your vibrations (prayers) on the cancer. Instead, align the great power of your being with the forces of nature that can create optimum health and believe that your body is creating it. Gods work is a scientific event. Your vibrations and connections to your ultimate goals is how it works. Take baseball as an example. When you focus on winning... you win. When u focus on worry, you strike out. Focus on health and be thankful for your good health. This vibration will make your body heal itself. Cancer is very curable without too much intervention. Please research other ways to strengthen you

How I get through the grind

As I sit on the beach near my home and reflect I am grateful for all of the things in my life. Gratitude sets me up for the day. The vibration feels amazing. As I meditate about my day, I think about all of the chores and things that I have to do some of which are not my favorite. I really try hard to come up with five good things about what I’m doing if I am feeling any vibration of dread. So, for example, if I’m going to one of my jobs and it’s not one of my favorites I count five blessings about going to that job.... even if the reasons are silly. So, for one I have a reason to get out of bed in the morning; Two, I get to put on my favorite shirt; three, I get to see people I care about; four, I get paid money; and five, I have a job. These simple steps change my vibration  I then do my best to breathe quietly and imagine all of the good things happening to me during my day. I vibrate in meditation on the feelings of that success.  Try it! It helps! Breathing with g

Ready? Set your goals

There are two things that are important to focus on when setting your goals:  First, simple as it sounds, identify your goals. Come on, write them down. Second, and here’s the hard part, ask yourself, “what are my obstacles?”  When both are written down, you can begin to work through your obstacles by focusing in on your goal and believing in its success. Belief and inspired action will be how that goal is achieved.  Ask. Believe. Receive.  Remember, the energy and vibration you emit will create your future. Pick the good thoughts. 

Be mindful of others on their journey

As we go about our everyday lives thinking about and speaking with others, we must keep our vibration laser focused on kindness.  Although judgements come naturally to us all as humans, they are not healthy and ultimately lead to self judgement, which is poison.  So basically, BE NICE! Or as Jesus said, “do unto others as you would have done to you” or as the mosaic law, in a parallel commandment, “whatever is hurtful to you, do not do to others” The vibration of judgement is a powerful one and can interrupt your flow of goodness. Think kind thoughts about yourself and others. Goodness will flow. 

The vision board

There is a trick to wanting possessions. You have to imagine yourself using them and having them in your life without any doubt. Matthew 7: 7:, “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be open to you”  The vibration you give regarding “possessions” must be clear when you think about them (aka praying). Know that what you ask for will be given.  Be deserving( Also known as doing the right thing) When designing your vision board, make sure it is believable for you. Take action when inspired thought enters your mind.  Remember: you are a child of God and deserving of all good things while you experience your journey here on earth... 

Aligning your energy

I want to make sure that with every post I carefullly acknowledge that many teachers have come before me and discussed these subjects. I consider myself a student of their work. I know that I have learned much.. perhaps enough to teach.... but am humbled to know that there is much more to learn about the subject, and I welcome new information. When new reading material comes to my attention, I will try to acknowledge the information with gratitude on my blog. Aligning your Energy. You are a great energetic force. You were born with divine perfection, and your spirit remembered that joy and connectivity when you were born into this body. You never worried or wondered, you believed in magic, and love, and trusted who you were, and that there would be plenty for you in this world. How to think about thinking: VIsual Energy of thought

I found the above diagram on the internet somewhere (I can't remember where to cite, sorry). I love the way the body looks as we feel life's feelings. I know we can all imagine how energy feels while experiencing each emotion. Imagining the way the body vibrates and seeing the science of how energy attracts and detracts good things... I think science is telling us all to think about the good stuff . Hashtag Gratitude!!! God is listening

Back to basics New Year's Resolutions.. Attracting your abundance

With the new year approaching, goal setting is something that we all do to plan for our future. We plan to lose weight, maintain positive habits, we strategize for our monetary balance, our relationship balance, and try to change any of our unhappiness, welcoming in our joy. Goal setting is a positive step towards that change. The trick is how to set those goals with positive energy and action and words. Today, we are going to talk about how to goal set with success in mind. The first step is to identify those goals. I like to use a vision board, or create a movie. Create this movie of all of the pictures you would like to represent your perfect life. This is a fun exercise! I found pictures on the internet, took photographs of pictures in magazines, and included pictures of my family, my life, and my travels to create mine. Let these pictures be positive. What is the stuff called God?

God. Yes, I said it. I am a child of science. I was born in the 1960s and grew up in the 70s. My world was filled with scientific stuff like sending people to the moon, movies and television, airplanes and the beginnings of computers. I went to church with my family on Sundays at a traditional New England protestant church and learned about God and Jesus by coloring pictures of sheep and shepherds... the relevance was lost on me and I couldn't wait to go home and watch tv. I learned that God was a man who looked a little like Santa Claus, I sang a few hymns, and I didn't really get it. Years later, and through diligent study of quantum physics, reading everything I could get my hands on regarding the Law of Attraction and world religions, I began to strip away some of my preconceived notions about God and for a while I started calling God something else in order for me to fully understand the concept of energetic and vibrational connection. I understood the power of thought
