God. Yes, I said it.
I am a child of science. I was born in the 1960s and grew up in the 70s. My world was filled with scientific stuff like sending people to the moon, movies and television, airplanes and the beginnings of computers. I went to church with my family on Sundays at a traditional New England protestant church and learned about God and Jesus by coloring pictures of sheep and shepherds... the relevance was lost on me and I couldn't wait to go home and watch tv. I learned that God was a man who looked a little like Santa Claus, I sang a few hymns, and I didn't really get it.
Years later, and through diligent study of quantum physics, reading everything I could get my hands on regarding the Law of Attraction and world religions, I began to strip away some of my preconceived notions about God and for a while I started calling God something else in order for me to fully understand the concept of energetic and vibrational connection. I understood the power of thought and started to write about my experiences and manifestations. I also had personal failures along the way which caused me to look inward at my own thoughts and mental pictures.
This is a subject I think about all the time and could spend hours talking about. For the purpose of this blog post, I am committed to shortening the explanation of my journey. During my time of understanding the power of thought and vibration, I came to realize that this connection to all things energetic is exactly what the concept of God was. The energetic, thinking, organism that is not visible but is in all things and flows through our consciousness at all times whether we believe in it or not is God.
I have come to erase my mental chalkboard (do they even still have those?) about God as it is taught in all religions and start to rebuild my faith and commitment by understanding the science of our connection to the almighty force. I also enjoy reading the Bible and other world religious teachings through new and scientific eyes. God is an organism; it lives and thinks and knows and flows. Picture fog molecules... or the energy that sparks electricity and modern communication. We think nothing of sending a text across the world but scoff that God exists?
I urge you rethink what you were taught about God and religion deepen your spirituality a different way. In this scientific approach, the organism that is God is collective consciousness caused by thought vibrations. What you think enters this organism through your vibration and thoughts. The organism, like all organisms wants abundant life. This is how God loves you. God wants all good things for you. It is God's pleasure to give you what you want.
This is why we must choose good thoughts. Vibrate on good things. Believe in goodness. And of course... Do good deeds so we are deserving.
I repeat this acronym often on this blog but I like the way it feels as I call God "God" again. G.O.D. Goodness. Oneness. Divinity. This represents the power that is collective thought and energy. What I learned through experience is that we all have the power to control our lives with deliberate thought and prayer; It is science.
